Geometric pattern of three-dimensional, metallic, silver and gray triangular shapes arranged in a repeating grid, inspired by DFCA Knit. This modern, abstract architectural design highlights the innovative style of the New Release.

New Release – DFCA Knit Version 1.0

Kansas State University Research Foundation announces the release of new software DFCA Knit Version 1.0. The new software can be applied to create topologies of knitted fabric, as shown in Figure 1. The topology file generated by DFCA Knit can be read by DFCA Version 6.0 to generate the micro-geometry of knitted fabric, as shown in Figure 2.

A grid of four diagrams showing different circuit or network layouts with nodes, lines, and colored markers, displayed against white and gray backgrounds. Each diagram has a unique pattern and arrangement.

A four-part diagram shows: (a) unit cell topology, (b) fibering topology, (c) unit cell micro-geometry, and (d) assembled knitted fabric micro-geometry, all in green 3D renderings.
